This is the privacy policy for chockyard.com and the Chock service. If you have a question, email hello@chockyard.com.
Who we are
Chock Yard LLC is a Colorado limited liability company. The brand is Chock. We sell declined-work / DVI recovery and missed-call text-back to independent auto repair shops. Owner: Dan Petreley.
What we collect
From the Phone Leak Report form, and later if you become a customer, we collect:
- Shop name
- Mobile phone number
- Your name, if you give it
- Email address, if you write us
- Shop street address and zip, if you hire us (one shop per zip)
- SMS opt-in status and STOP / HELP replies
- Call recordings we make as part of the Phone Leak Report or the service, and the texts we send on your shop's behalf
This site does not use advertising cookies or a tracking pixel. The host may log standard server requests (IP, browser, page) to keep the site up.
How we use it
- To place the three Phone Leak Report calls and send you the recordings
- To talk with you about the $497/month service
- To run missed-call text-back and declined-work follow-up if you hire us
- To honor STOP, HELP, and other SMS commands
- To keep records we are required to keep (TCPA / A2P 10DLC consent, billing)
We do not sell your information. We do not rent or swap shop lists. We do not put your number on a shared marketing file.
Text messages
If you check the box and submit the form, you agree to receive text messages from Chock Yard LLC at the mobile number you provide. Those texts are about your Phone Leak Report and, if you hire us, about the service.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Stopping texts does not delete other records we already have, such as a paid invoice.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Who we share with
We share data only as needed to run the business:
- Phone and SMS vendors that send or receive texts and calls on our behalf
- Payment processors if you become a paying customer
- The website host (Cloudflare)
- Accountants, lawyers, or a government request when the law requires it
Those vendors are not free to use your number for their own lists.
How long we keep it
Form submissions and SMS consent records: as long as we may need them to show you opted in, then we delete or lock them down. Customer files: for the life of the account and a reasonable period after, for taxes and disputes. You can ask us to delete what the law lets us delete.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text, or email us, to leave the SMS list
- Email hello@chockyard.com to see, correct, or ask us to delete your information
- Colorado residents may have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act. Write us. We will not sell or share your data for cross-context advertising, because we do not do that.
Children
This site is for shop owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the date at the top. The current version lives at chockyard.com/privacy.html.
